Evaluation of my products

Josh Pool

1) A justification of all the the aesthetic, technical and production decisions involved in producing the magazine.

While making my front cover and double page spread, i had to crop out two images of myself, one for each the front cover and double page spread. I don't this using a variation of lasso tools and the magic wand tool. I decided the platform of my magazine would be print as i feel i am much better at photoshop than designing a web page, making the links for it etc.
To make my magazine as original as possible, i decided to use only one secondary research image, which was the barcode on the front cover. Instead of leaving the barcode how it is and just positioning it where i wanted it, I made my magazine further more unique by inverting the colors, wo that the background was black, with the lines and numbers being white. In order to get the barcode I used, I simply searched 'barcode' on google images.

2) Consider the suitability of the finished magazine in relation to the specified audience (what age group where you appealing to?)

My magazine may appeal to people around my age, as the main focus of the magazine is interviewing your ordinary person, and learning about them, instead of celebrities. It is a more realistic magazine as each individual is different. I may be more relatable to people around my age compared to a major celebrity.

3) Evaluate how effectively you have managed and reviewed the stages of production.

I believe i done a good job in keeping design of the front cover and double page of my magazine both simple and eye catching to my target audience.
