Planning my own short film

Planning my own individual short film

    What is the plot?

My film will have several clips of me in, all which relate to my rugby. In the background, there will be one of my favorite sports motivation speeches by Les Brown. The clip of his speech I will use is all about achieving your goals and not holding back on anything.

    What is the genre?

Sport

    Narrative

My short film will include several clips of me, all relating to rugby and the speech i will have in my film. I will use a video produced by the Dallas Cowboys as inspiration. This film will give me ideas of what to film and i will use the speech from this film.

    What props are needed?

I will need specific clothing that I wear for the gym and rugby. I could also have a clip or two of me with a rugby ball but that isn't necessary.

    Where will it be filmed?

It will be filmed in a variety of ares, including a gym, my bedroom, and places where I play rugby like Ashbrooke Sports Club, in one of the changing rooms. There may also be other clips of me putting on rugby gear, folding them etc.

Health and safety?

I will need to make sure i am safe  and serious when using equipment in the gym, one for safety and two, for the way my film is to be filmed.  Other basic safety applies; trying not to drop equipment, not falling over and potentially breaking my leg etc.

Storyboard

My film is simply a compilation of clips of me that relate to rugby, inspired by the video Finish this Fight by the Dallas Cowboys. My film, My Fight, is my version of that video, which includes short clips in slow motion of things such as players training, putting on kit, playing, along with some clips of the facilities and coaches.

Shooting Schedule

I will be filming when I am at the gym, as well as in my room preparing my rugby gear, along with potentially places I play rugby, home or away.

Script

If you want something, you have got to be relentless. Most of us go through life with our breaks on. Holding back. Most of us still go to our graves still holding on - because of past experiences. Past defeats, past pain. We look back 'well it didn't work then, it probably won't work out now". The hunger, the ability to face defeat again and again without giving up. When you're hungry you don't care about the facts, you don't care about the odds. If theres something that you want and you're hungry for it, you got to do whatever is necessary until, and when you give the best you can and thats not enough you must do what is required. I'm gonna honest my will, and you've got to be so relentless that you're always looking for a way, to get off, always looking for a way, that you can break through, always looking for a way, that you can win, always looking for a way that you can strike a telling blow. Theres greatness in you, and you've got learn how to tune out the critics outside and the critic inside. Don't give up on yourself. Don't throw the towel in so quickly. Many people give up on the one yard line. You've got to sell yourself every day on your abilities, on what you're doing, on the goal that you  want to reach. You've got to sell yourself every day. Every day, every day. 'This is my day, and nothing out here is going to stop me'.
